From its source just south of Middleburgh, NY, the Catskill Creek flows through the towns of Durham, Cairo, and Catskill and under the Route 23B bridge in the lovely hamlet of Leeds, before emptying into the Hudson River at the Historic Catskill Point. Natural pools well up behind ancient schist formations, some of which date back over 300 million years. Waterfalls and rapids make for great kayaking when water levels are higher and great fishing along its course.
