Meet the florist, Jessica Cahill
My journey with flowers began in 2019 when I started growing for my own wedding. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I saw it as an opportunity to expand my gardens, cultivating a wide array of blooms, including a large collection of dahlias. Inspired by the need to share joy during uncertain times, I began gifting my blooms to passersby.
My heartfelt passion continued to flourish, and in 2021, I opened a charming roadside stand, showcasing arrangements on a vintage tea cart. In 2022, I decided to take my floral journey to new heights. I temporarily stepped away from my lifelong career and became a student at Flower School NY in NYC, renowned worldwide for floral design education. There, I had the privilege of learning from exceptional top designers, delving into event planning, and working as an intern with some of NYC’s best florists.
Eager to bring my newfound knowledge and creativity back to my small town of Coxsackie, New York, I discovered an unmet need, as the town had been without a local florist for many years. In early 2023, I made the bold decision to leave my full-time position as a preschool teacher and set up shop in a charming brick-and-mortar store in the heart of Coxsackie.
Now, with a wealth of experience and a heart full of passion, I am thrilled to fill my town with stunning florals, creating beauty and joy.
