Step into history at Windrift Hall, a tastefully restored 1790s Federal Style Manor house on 14 acres with a private pond. Situated on top of a hill the house overlooks gardens and stonewalls, meadows, woods, a large pond and gently flowing creek. Windrift Hall sleeps 12 guests and features 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, library, study, gracious center hall and a beautiful country kitchen. The house is filled with an eclectic mix of art and antiques reflecting the origins of the european owners and their love for design and good craftsmanship. Every room has a wood burning fireplace and every window has unobstructed views of the nature around you. So while you’re chopping vegetables in the kitchen you might see a blue heron landing gracefully on the pond or you can study the hawks circling in midair. Spring is a beautiful time to see the gardens and wild flowers come into bloom, in summer you might like to take your meals in the shadow of the 250 old maple tree and cool off with a swim in the spring fed pond. In fall there’s a spectacular foliage on view right out of your bedroom window and winters are perfect for lounging in front of the fireplace after a run on the nearby slopes of Hunter or Wyndham.
