Colleen Figiel, stylist and owner of Thairapy Hair Salon, has been a long time lover of the beauty industry. She was the girl doing everyone’s hair and makeup before high school dances and throwing a braid or some curls in someone’s hair any chance she got. Following high school she decided to take a different path and immersed herself in the coinciding fashion industry for over ten years.  As a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Colleen had been working and living in the fashion and beauty capital of the world, New York City, when she realized how much she longed to follow her true passion of coloring hair and be back in the rural upstate mountains where she grew up.  Without looking back, she quit her job, enrolled in cosmetology school, and graduated with plans to bring a chic, upscale, and cozy salon to the Catskill Mountains.

Thairapy prides itself on being one of the few salons in Greene County, NY that offers the latest techniques in hair coloring and styling all at an affordable price.
